Asia Walters

 

CLASSES TAUGHT: CONTEMPORY MODERN

 

Anastasia Walters, received her early dance training at the Ballet Conservatory, and as a member of LakeCities Ballet Theatre. She went on to receive her BFA in modern dance from Texas Christian University where she was awarded the Jerry Bywaters Cochran Scholarship for excellence in modern dance, as well as the emerging choreographers award. To further her training, she attended the American Dance Festival in North Carolina and Bates Dance Festival in Maine. She founded the professional modern dance company, imPULSE dance project in 2012, and as Artistic Director has been able to choreograph and produce countless works and even full length productions. Her work has been featured in a variety of dance festivals and collegiate programs. She has had the joy of teaching dance for 22 years. She is currently the contemporary modern teacher at Ballet Conservatory, and a Resident Choreographer for LakeCities Ballet Theatre. It is her life's passion to create and create with other passionate artists!
