LakeCities Ballet Theatre was founded in 1984 to promote and preserve the art of classical ballet in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area. LBT has strived to present full-length classical ballet performances at affordable ticket prices. While achieving this goal, LBT offers local audiences the opportunity to experience world renown visiting guest artists while also providing a venue for student dancers to perform and train with professional choreographers and dancers. LBT’s reputation for quality has grown and its audience is now drawn from the larger D/FW metroplex area. The company is directed by Mrs. Kelly Lannin who has been with LBT since its inception in 1984. Please see LBT's website www.lakecitiesballet.org for more info.

LBT2 Membership
LakeCities Ballet Theatre 2 was formed in 2002 and is celebrating its 22nd season! LBT2 is a branch of the senior company, LBT. The success of LBT2’s formative years is attributed to founding Director and LBT alumnus, Ms. Lindsay Coe. The growth and success continued because of the strong and nurturing leadership of Mrs. Shanon Tate for the next 15 years. Now, LBT2 is under the direction of another LBT alumnus, Sarah Solomon Rosenzweig, who is a graduate of the University of Utah with a BFA in Ballet performance and teaching.
LBT2 was formed to allow LBT’s wonderful performing opportunities and training benefits to reach a younger, yet serious group of dancers enhancing their dance education and inspiring their artistry. LBT is proud to offer this opportunity to younger generations of dedicated dancers, ages 10 to 15. LBT2 performs in LBT’s three largest productions each season, as well as, local events such as The City of Lewisville’s Western Days and The Dallas Dance Council’s Dance for the Planet. In 2004, 2009 and 2010, LBT 2 was invited to perform at the New York City Finals of the Youth America Grand Prix Competition.
