Kendall Lannin Thie

CLASSES TAUGHT: MUSICAL THEATRE, TAP, JAZZ, TWINKLE DANCE

Kendall Lannin Thie trained at Ballet Conservatory from the age of 4 to 18 studying all dance forms including ballet, jazz, tap, modern and musical theater. She was a member of Dance Fusion for two years and also enjoyed student teaching. At about age 10, Kendall discovered her love of music and singing and combined it with her years of dance training to become involved in local children's theater and continued into high school at Grapevine Faith Christian High School where she was a 4-year All State Soprano, Outstanding Creative Arts Student, and received a Betty Buckley Award for her role in Godspell. She was the recipient of a Musical Theater scholarship from the Dallas Dance Council and from the Dallas Summer Musicals Summer Workshops under Vicki Squires at the historic Majestic Theater in Dallas. Kendall went on to attend Oklahoma City University where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Voice from the Wanda Bass School of Music. In 2016, Kendall was named a semi-finalist in the Classical Singer Vocal Competition in Boston. Some of Kendall's favorite roles have been in Les Miserables (Fantine and Madame Thenardier), Oliver (Nancy), Beauty and the Beast (Wardrobe), The King and I (Anna), Meet Me in St. Louis (Rose), and in the operas, Magic Flute and Game of Chance. Kendall currently teaches private voice lessons in the DFW metroplex. She is excited about combining her love of tap and music in her Song and Tap class and sharing her love of Musical Theater with BC students!
