Michelle Lawyer

 

CLASSES TAUGHT: Pilates. 3rd yr at Ballet Conservatory

 

Michelle began training at The Ballet Conservatory at age 11, joining LakeCities Ballet Theatre a few years later.  At 18, she joined Ft. Worth Dallas Ballet (now Texas Ballet Theatre) and worked under the artistic direction of Bruce Simpson, and then under Ben Stevenson, O.B.E.  She enjoyed performing numerous roles including Balanchine's Serenade, Kent Stowell's Carmina Burana, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella and Ben Stevenson's Peer Gynt.  Michelle is an UNT alumnus where she earned her B.A. in business entrepreneurship and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

 

Michelle currently owns On Point Pilates Studio in Flower Mound and is a certified STOTT Pilates instructorand Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. She was voted Denton County's Best Pilates Instructor for 2013& 2014. She is honored to return as an adult member of LBT for her 3rd year where she has enjoyed many wonderful roles such as "Snow Queen" in The Nutcracker and to be able to teach Pilates for The Ballet Conservatory.
