Austin, February/March 2015

 

Congratulations to all our YAGP Austin competitors!!! 

Senior Classical Division (15 to 19 years old) Olivia Lambert(Gamzatti Variation), Carley Denton (Medora Variation) and Madeline Hanly (Aurora's Variation Act 1) all received Top 24 in Senior Classical!

 

Senior Contempory Divison (15 to 19 years old) Carley Denton - Top 12 (Batteries Not Included - Choregrapher - Shannon Beacham)

Congratulations Ballet Conservatory's IDC competors at The Edge.

 

Junior Soloists Ally Wren, Anna Van Ooyen and Jordan Hunter all received platinum awards. 

Ally Wren also received 1st place overall Junior Soloist and Anna Van Ooyen was 2nd place overall Junior Soloist!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Senior soloists Holly Bowling, Ashlyn Moore and Maddie Hett received High Gold and Madison Griffiths received Platinum. 

 

All Junior and Senior groups placed in their respective Top 10's.

 

Boy's Crew received 1st Place!

Local dancers recently competed for a chance to earn scholarships to professional ballet companies and to perform at David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York.

LakeCities Ballet Theatre (LBT) sent six dancers to the 2015 Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Dallas competition. There, five made the top 24 soloists. Mackenna Pieper, who attends school in Lewisville, won first place in the senior division. Carly Greene made the top 12 in the junior classical division.

 

“There are more than 100 soloists in each category, so I think they did great,” said Kelly Lannin, artistic director for LBT.
