Kelsey Rhinehelder

 

CLASSES TAUGHT: Pre-Ballet and Ballet. 1st yr at Ballet Conservatory as an instructor.

 

Kelsey Rhinehelder grew up in Lewisville, Tx and began training in ballet at the age of 4. She then went to train in gymnastics making competition team at Achievers Gymnastics in Denton, Tx for 2 years. Deciding that dance was her calling, she went back to Ballet Conservatory in Lewisville and trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop for a total of 4 years and also danced with LakeCities Ballet Theater for 4 of those years. College brought her to Philadelphia, Pa where she trained at the University of the Arts and earned her  Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. While attending the university she trained in various styles of ballet, partnering, jazz, modern, hip hop, tap and African while working with renowned choreographers and teachers such as Michael Sheridan with PA Ballet, Riolama Lorenzo from New York City Ballet, Kim Bears-Bailey with Philadanco and Christine Cox, co-founder of BalletX. She has also acquired training in various other areas of art including acting, music, graphic design, and animation. After graduation she discovered her passion for teaching and joined the faculty at Mrs. Tanya's School of Dance in McKinney, Texas and has taught ballet, hip hop and jazz for 2 years. She also returned to LakeCities Ballet Theatre and is thrilled to begin her 3rd season back. She is also looking forward to starting her first year as a faculty member at Ballet Conservatory.
